National Commission of Azerbaijan for UNESCO took part in the 8th Interregional meeting of National Commissions

The 8^th Interregional meeting of the National Commissions for UNESCO was held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris before the 41^st Session of the General Conference of the Organization.

Our country was represented by the Secretary General of the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO Seymur Fataliyev and the Second Secretary Eltay Aslanov.

The work done by the National Commissions on the implementation of the main objectives of the UNESCO General Conference, which will kick off on November 9, as well as the 75^th anniversary of the Organization and future prospects were discussed at the meeting.

President and Vice-Presidents of the Bureau of the 8^th Interregional Meeting of UNESCO National Commissions have been elected. At the event the future of education, ethics and artificial intelligence, the importance of the open science, possible new activities in the field of communication and information and other issues were deliberated.
